If I were Rammstein I would also say I hated the Nazis. Especially with the cancel culture and the labeling of people being anti-Semitic (jewish defence mechanism). Commenting a few years after i first saw this. I was watching alot of anti-sjw content in my earlier teens. Alot of that indoctrination shed as i just started socializing more and talked to people. It is interesting, as an American GenXer, to see people actually thinking there is Nazi propaganda in anything Rammstein does. We grew up through the Cold War. I grew up next to the biggest SAC base in the US arsenal. I had so many friends that were born or grew up in West Germany, coming from Ramstein AFB. Our grandfathers fought WWII and many of us had grandmothers that were of Germanic origin. We had Jewish neighbors with tattoos on their arms. We grew up very aware of the Soviet Union, East Germany and the Communist Bloc. Unlike American kids that came along long after us, we were educated on the world outside our border. Rammstein always fascinated me. Guys from Est Germany that were a rock band. That was the coolest thing because it showed how universal music was and how it could not be stifled. I love this song and the video is incredible. It's an honest look at what the people went through. To me, showing the uncomfortable scenes is on right. You cannot shy away from history and must be able to view it objectively. To be offended by history is to be weak minded. To not understand that European politics and sides is vastly different from American is sad as well.
